Junction Box Connections Checklist

Screw terminals can loosen over time due to vibration.
Check the screw connections inside the junction box every 2 weeks.
Loose connections can cause equipment failure.
A loose connection can also cause intermittent operation that is difficult to diagnose.

Perform this check as part of your regular maintenance schedule.

  1. Remove the 2 screws that secure the junction box lid.

  2. Open the lid.

  1. Check the tightness of the 4 screws on the relay connections.

  2. Press the relay down to confirm it is seated securely in the socket.

  1. Check the tightness of the 4 terminal screws on the PWM module.

  1. Check the tightness of the 4 screws on the power fuse connectors.

  1. Check the tightness of the 4 screws on the backing plate.

  1. Close the lid.

  2. Replace and tighten the 2 lid screws.
