Rotary Valve Jam — Clearing
You will need:
One large wrench.
One empty 25 kg feed bag.
Locate the direction-of-rotation arrow on the rotary valve chain cover.
Remove the rotary valve chain cover. Loosen the 4 screws.
Place the wrench on the rotary valve shaft. Turn the shaft in the opposite direction of the arrow on the chain cover.
Place an empty 25 kg feed bag over the feed hose outlet and secure it in place. Feed pressure may dislodge an unsecured bag during dispensing.
Start the engine and turn on the Feed Controller.
Dispense a small amount of feed. Inspect the feed bag for any expelled foreign object.
If no foreign object is found, the obstruction may have been small debris. Confirm feed is dispensing at a normal rate before reinstalling the chain cover.
Reinstall the chain cover.
