Rotary Valve Jam - Diagnosis
If the Feed Controller dispenser light is illuminated but no feed exits the feed outlet, or feed exits abnormally slowly, the rotary valve may be jammed. A jam is typically caused by a foreign object blocking rotation.
Refer to Fuses to check whether the rotary fuse is blown.
Fuse is blown: The motor drew excessive current, most likely due to a jam. Do not replace the fuse until the jam is cleared. Proceed to Rotary Valve Jam — Clearing.
Fuse is intact: Continue to the next step.
Remove the rotary valve chain cover. Loosen the 4 screws.
Observe whether the rotary valve turns abnormally slowly.
If the rotary valve turns slowly or does not turn, proceed to Rotary Valve Jam — Clearing.
